SMS Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: May 1, 2025

 

By providing your mobile phone number to Akhavan Law, P.C., you agree to receive SMS text messages from us regarding your inquiry, consultation, appointments, scheduling, document requests, and updates related to your legal matter.

 

Messaging Terms

  1. The messaging program consists of general conversational messaging to answer questions and provide support to clients and prospective clients.

  2. You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text 'STOP' to the phone number from which you received messages. After you send 'STOP,' we will send one final SMS confirming you have been unsubscribed. You will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to rejoin, simply sign up again as you did the first time.

  3. If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program, reply HELP for more assistance, or contact us directly at nakkisa@akhlawpc.com.

  4. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

  5. Message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to or from us. Message frequency will vary based on communication needs. If you have questions about your text or data plan, contact your wireless provider.

  6. If you have questions regarding privacy, please read the Privacy Policy section below or visit our Privacy Policy page on our website.

 

Scope of Messages

Akhavan Law, P.C. uses text messaging for one-to-one communications with existing clients and prospective clients who have agreed to receive text messages related to their specific matter. We do not use this SMS program for mass marketing or promotional campaigns.

The types of messages you may receive include:

  • Responses to your inquiry or consultation request

  • Appointment scheduling and reminders

  • Document requests

  • Case-related updates and follow-ups

 

Consent

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase or of receiving legal services.

 

Data Sharing

  • Customer data is not shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.

  • Mobile opt-in and consent are never shared with anyone for any purpose. Any information sharing that may be mentioned elsewhere in this policy excludes mobile opt-in data.
